Arrived after a nine hour drive which was very interesting. Lots of wind turbines and short trees. Water levels low and dust devils. Arrived to this welcome
We've been on the river walk in San Antonio where Buttons was declared a "service animal" in order to come on the boat with us. Phoenix was trying to be "anxious" as he was her service animal. It didn't work too well.
Winston loved riding on my walker.
The heat and humidity is unbelievable. It definitely has affected me.
We leave tomorrow for Jacksonville, AR, Sylvia and I driving together. It'll be fun.
We've enjoyed swimming at my place, having bbq and Mexican and tonight bbq at home. The time has gone quickly. Too bad I can't bring them all home.

Glad you had a good time!
ReplyDeleteSomehow I'm missing your blogs. Glad I found the last two. It sounds like you're having a great time, and Buttons too! :-)
ReplyDeleteWell, the flag and that lovely welcome from the children would bring tears to your eyes. And you likely had to tear Buttons from their loving arms when leaving for Oklahoma.
ReplyDeleteGood for you Charmaine being on this venture and seeing a lot of the south US.
We are having a so so spring... good moisture here but not warm enough to suit people and the green environment.
Looks hot! It's been hot here in the Maritimes too - although hot is a relative term - up to 34 for us. I'll bet Buttons is popular wherever you go! You inspired us and we got out little trailer out of storage and had a short trip to New Brunswick to see the rhododendron gardens. Hope you and Sylvia have a wonderful time together - nice to have company on the long drives. Peaceful time to get caught up on news. Give a call when you can.
