Boise, Idaho

Hi everyone. I've arrived in Boise, Idaho after a great few days driving down. When I crossed the border I noticed how busy my mind was. Did I turn off the water taps, did I mail the envelope, did I call ???, did I pay all bills. It'll be interesting to see if my mind is quiet when I return.

No traffic at all on the highways. Some construction but no problem. Listened to the audiobook "Rainbows Come and Go" on the life of Gloria Vanderbilt and narrated by her and her son Anderson Cooper. What a life! She rose above much adversity and lived to 95 years old. I really enjoyed her perspective on life in general and in particular, hers. Now I'm listening to Hillary Clinton's "Hard Choices" which is also very enjoyable.

Through misinformation from Telus, I was under the understanding I had free talk and text between Canada and US.  This is not true. I have unlimited txt only. I can text when connected to the internet. So if I'm driving, I will not respond. I stopped at Starbucks and went online yesterday, using their wifi.

Boise is a pretty city. They have many heritage homes and on the block where I am staying, most houses have natural lawns. See below. The yards are beautiful.

After a rainy day, it's now a beautiful sunny evening.

The next week will be bbq's and visiting. Take care everyone.

  1. Wow! Looks beautiful ❤️ it's still raining here 🌧 but we can't complain. Solo travelling really helps to quiet your mind. Enjoy that stillness! Great that you've already got an audiobook under your belt. I listened to Anderson Cooper's biography on audiobook, might have to give hers a listen as well.
